Cercis canadensis, commonly called eastern redbud, is a deciduous, often multi-trunked understory tree with a rounded crown
noted for its stunning pea-like rose-purple flowers which bloom profusely on bare branches in early spring (March-April) before the foliage emerges
Flowers bloom in clusters of 4-10. Flowers are followed by flattened leguminous bean-like dry seedpods that mature to brown in summer
The plants are currently growing in a 2.5 Quart nursery pot, However, they will NOT ship in a plastic pot. - May ship dormant when ordered from November thru March - We CAN NOT guarantee plants will have flowers at time of purchase - Actual plant sizes vary from one crop to the next and one season to the next, Please contact us for CURRENT PICTURES or CURRENT PLANT SIZES
